Two Cases of Patent Omphalomesenteric Duct.

Patent omphalomesenteric duct occurs when there is primary failure of luminal closure of vitellointestinal duct during the fetal life, and it makes an abnormal communication between the intestine and the umbilicus. We presented two cases of patent omphalomesenteric duct in the neonatal period. Diagnosis was confirmed by radiological examination and surgery. Surgical removal was done successfully. A brief review of related literature was also presented.
A Case of Chronic Atrial Tachycardia.

We report a case of chronic atrial tachycardia in a 8 year-old boy. One year 3 month duration of chronic precordial palpitation is the only complaint on admission. Diagnosis was confirmed with characteristic EKG findings. Digitalis therapy was tried, but in vain. The clinical manifestations have been persistent during follow-up for 1 year 6 months since diagnosis.
A Case of Pericarditis as a Complication of Meningococcal Meningitis.

We report a case of pericarditis as a complication of meningococcal meningitis in a 10-month old male infant. Pericardial effusion developed on the 8th hospital day during penicillin treatment for meningococcal meningitis. He was treated successfully and recovered completely. A review of related literatures was made.

We observed a case of pancreatic pseudocyst who was an 10 year-old girl with the chief complaints of intermittent abdominal pain and an abdominal mass in left upper quadrant. The cause of pancreatic pseudocyst was idiopathic, and the diagnosis was made by explor- ative laparatomy and biopsy. A brief review of literatures was made.

We observed a case of cat-scratch disease who was an 18-month-old boy with the chief complaint of generalized enlargement of lymphnodes. Clinical manifestations and patholcgic findings of a lymphnode were presented in detail. The diagnosis of cat-scratch disease in this case was made according to the criteria proposed by Carithers et al. and Margileth. A brief review of literature was made.

A 8-yrs-old boy was admitted because of convulsion and coma. The diagnosis of Cushing's syndrome(key word) associated with hypertensive encephalopathy(key word) due to right adrenocortical carcinoma(key word) was made by clinical features, biochemical studies, radiological studies and pathological examination. A case of twin to twin transfusion syndrome is reported. These babies were disclosed severe anemia in one twin and intense plethora in another one. This report presents a case of Cushing’s syndrome in childhood. The 13 years-old female patient was admitted with the complaints of headache, moon face, obesity and hirsuitism, and was diagnosed as Cushing’s syndrome due to adrenocortical carcinoma of the left adrenal gland.
